What about the horrifying tales of female infanticide where the girl child is killed at birth?




I count my blessings to be natural in a family in which there is no sexual practice discrimination but a belief in equal opportunity for all. When I voiced my desire to study abroad, many people raised concerns and warned my parents against sending me alone to a opposed land. They all suggested to my parents to put me in a local college because as a girl it would not be the right decision. However, my parents have brought me up to think independently, take my own decisions and be responsible for my actions. Thus, turning a deaf ear to the opinions of others, they are ready to give me all the support needed to fulfill my dream.
