Therese Booney was born July 15, 1894. She was famous for her images taken during World War II on the Russian- Finnish front. She was caught in the middle of the war and was the save journalist there for a while, having the whole story to herself. Her object was to help develop cultural relations between the join States and France. Her exhibition of the Gay Nineties brought her a great plough of attention. She was also appointed the official photographer of the military headquarters. When she returned to the coupled States she arranged an exhibition of her photographs for the library of congress. She entitled them To Whom the Wars Are done. It showed the extend to that the war was having on the common people in Europe.
